If you’re having a tough time deciding which gloves are right for you then you should take my Glove Selection Quiz. It’s an 8 question quiz that will help you choose the right heated gloves for your needs.

Comfort + Warmth

The Zanier Aviator GTX UX Heated Gloves look the part and when it comes down to comfort they are some of the most comfortable gloves around.

The inner lining of the glove especially feels very soft against the skin making them really really nice to wear.

The gloves primary function is for paragliders which means that naturally the gloves have to be warm but also not too bulky to ensure that dexterity is not compromised and to be perfectly honest the Zanier Aviator Gloves have the perfect balance between warmth and not sacrificing dexterity.

The base of the glove itself is fairly warm but if this isn’t enough the glove is kitted out with a nice heating system.

The heat is provided primarily to the fingers with a particular focus on the very tips to ensure that the cold doesn’t cause your fingers to become stiff.

Especially if you’re paragliding you don’t want to lose mobility of your fingers. But it must be said, don’t be afraid to use these gloves for things other than paragliding, they could be used in a wide range of situations like skiing or any other winter activity.

I’ve already written about other Zanier gloves so I was confident that these gloves would impress me and I wasn’t wrong.

I’m giving them a 18/20 for comfort and a 17/20 for warmth.

Water Resistance

Gore-Tex is debatably the most well known and most respected brand name when it comes to waterproof and that’s exactly what you’re getting when you purchase some of the Zanier Aviator Gloves.

The gloves feature a Gore-Tex waterproof layer which in my opinion most importantly is highly breathable.

This means that not only will your hands remain completely dry, regardless of the weather conditions but the waterproofing will not cause your hands to warm up to an uncomfortable temperature and allow moisture build up.

Instead the breathable layer will be able to wick away any moisture that builds up, ensuring that your hands remain comfortable and dry.

I’m giving them a 19/20 in this category.

Quality

When you look at the Zanier Aviator Gloves they look like a very well made high quality glove.

They say you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but if you’re going to judge the Aviator’s by their looks you’ll get the correct impression of them.

Exciting, vibrant, high quality. They look the part and they are the part. As well as the glove being manufactured to a high standard and the materials that have been used are of a high, durable quality the color scheme is beautiful.

Gloves can sometimes be too dull in my opinion but Zanier have got this design perfectly.

The black and grey patterning gives the glove a professional look while the wisps of red amongst the darker colors makes the glove look a little flamboyant but not too bold.

In my opinion a perfect design and manufactured using good materials so what’s not to love?

I’m giving them a 20/20 in this category.

Battery

The Zanier Aviator Glove’s heating system is powered by a lithium-ion battery.

The battery takes a fairly standard, expected time to charge up – around 1-2 hours.

The glove will last for approximately 2 hours and 51 minutes on it’s highest heating setting which is a very good amount of time. One of the best I’ve seen.

If for whatever reason 2 hours and 51 minutes isn’t good enough the gloves do have specialized pockets which enable you to carry extra batteries meaning that you can be using the heated gloves for many many hours on end.

I’m giving them a 19/20 in this category.

Fit

The Aviator Heated Gloves feature an elasticated wrist cuff which holds the glove in place on your wrist for a comfortable fit.

The glove also has a slight stretch to it meaning that it will mold your hand to a certain extent which further adds to the fit and comfort of the glove.

I found that they fit true to size. If you’re unsure about what size to order you can have a look at our sizing guide.

Final Thoughts

The Zanier Aviator GTX UX heated gloves are a fantastic heated glove.

Although they are fairly high priced you’re also getting top of the range quality making the glove good value for money.

Not only does the glove have the features previously mentioned but it also has a few nice little additional features such as touch screen technology on the finger tips meaning that you won’t need to remove the gloves to use your devices.

Overall the glove is a fantastic all round bit of kit.

There is no particular category in which the Aviators have a weaker performance. It may be a premium price but one things for sure, you’re getting a premium product. A fantastic buy for outdoor enthusiasts.
