Heritage Winter Work Glove Overview
This Heritage Winter Work Glove is a fairly reasonably priced set of gloves that have clearly been designed with practicality in mind.
They don’t look the best, but my initial thoughts were that they appear to be a very practical set of gloves which is what men want in winter work gloves.
The Winter Work Gloves come in one color, black/ tan which gives them a professional look perfectly suited to a ranch or farm.
Upon first putting the gloves on they feel very durable and high quality, given the price they come across as a really good value for money pair.
Comfort
When it comes to comfort with gloves it’s important for the inner to be soft and cozy. Needless to say the Heritage Winter Work Gloves don’t disappoint when it comes to the feel of the interior.
They feature a very soft inner lining which makes them a delight to wear.
Another very important feature of these gloves is the breathability. I found that they kept the wind out whithout making my hand clammy or stale feeling.
They’re also very true to size, meaning that it isn’t hard to select a size that will be comfortable for you.
If you’re unsure of what size to choose I’d recommend you choose a smaller size rather than a larger size, as the top part of the gloves is formed of a durable stretch spandura material so they will stretch to fit your hand perfectly.
To top it all off the Heritage Winter Work Gloves also have an elasticated knit cuff, which ensures that cold winds and air are prevented from entering the glove, ensuring your hands remain comfortable and warm.
Warmth
The Winter Work Gloves sport Thinsulate C70 insulation which forms an incredibly warm layer around your hands.
Although they are not officially temperature rated, they certainly feel warm enough to be worn in extreme conditions.
For use in more mild temperatures they’ll certainly be plenty warm enough. If the Thinsulate insulation isn’t warm enough for you due to extreme temperatures, the Heritage Winter Work Gloves also feature a hand warmer pocket for additional heat.
The combination of these two features means that there’s no way your hands will be too cold despite the conditions.
Water Resistance
The very waterproof yet highly breathable Hipora barrier is sure to keep your hands dry during rain or snow. I personally used them to move some building materials during rain and my hands remained very dry thanks to the high quality waterproofing and breathability of the hipora layer.
For water resistance the Heritage Winter Work Gloves are almost faultless. Perfect for their intended use, working outside in all conditions. A very important feature of the glove is it’s breathability.
In my opinion there isn’t much worse than having gloves that cause your hands to sweat badly.
Cheap, low quality waterproofing can sometimes cause gloves to lack breathability and so sweat can build up and lead to discomfort.
However, this is no issue for the Heritage Winter Work Gloves as the waterproof Hipora barrier is highly breathable, meaning that any sweat and moisture that might form from doing things such as lifting, is wicked away and passes through the membrane keeping your hands dry from sweat, as well as precipitation.
Features
Perhaps the most unique and exciting thing about the Heritage Winter Gloves are the features that are very sophisticated indeed.
The palm area rocks a layer of goatskin leather which is incredibly durable.
The makers Heritage claim the goatskin has THREE TIMES the strength and durability of standard cowhide. This makes the gloves feel like they mean business.
The goatskin certainly gives the gloves an extremely high quality feel to them, which isn’t always seen in a glove within the same price bracket of the Heritage Winter Work Gloves.
When wearing the gloves you will also be able to use touchscreens which is invaluable when working outdoors. There’s nothing worse than having to take gloves off to use a phone or other device during freezing temperatures, but this isn’t a scenario you’ll find yourself in with the Winter Work Gloves.
Final Thoughts
The gloves do exactly what they say, they’re called the Heritage Winter Work Gloves for a reason. They’re absolutely perfect for when you need a warm and protective layer on your hands in the winter months.
Although they’re designed with farming, ranching and rodeo in mind they’re actually perfect for any heavy duty labor that requires warmth, protection and praticality.
The gloves are fantastic value for money, most notably the goatskin palm is very very impressive considering the pricing of the gloves.
Although no matter how amazing the features are they aren’t the best looking gloves and so they’re certainly not a pair of gloves you’ll want to have for everyday use.
But if you’re looking for a reliable, long lasting pair of gloves solely for work use, then the Heritage Winter Work Glove is a very good option for you which I’d highly recommend.
