I’ve researched and tested a whole bunch of heated slippers to come up with this list of the 5 best heated house slippers for a cold home office.
The Best Heated House Slippers
- Volt Heat IV Gen Indoor/Outdoor
- Volt Heat Smart Slipper
- Volt Heat III Gen Indoor/Outdoor
- ValueRays Slipper
- Manshoe USB Foot Warmer Boot
- ObboMed Slippers
Have you ever felt like your boss is too cheap to turn up the heat in the office and your toes might just freeze right off as a result? Or does everyone else in your house like it cold except you?
This has happened to me a lot and on those really cold winter days this can be really frustrating.
Fortunately somebody invented heated slippers to save the day. I’ve done some research and figured out where you can buy the very best heated house slippers that can also be worn at the office or even outside of the house in some cases.
First I want to say that when it comes to the makers of heated slippers, there are Volt heat slippers and then there are all the rest.
What I’m getting at is that Volt is way ahead of the game at this point. If you care about quality and comfort then you really should only be buying Volt Slippers.
They’re a top brand in the heated clothing industry and that couldn’t be more true when it comes to heated slippers which is why you shouldn’t be surprised to see that the top three pairs of slippers on this list are all Volt.
1. Volt Heated Slippers Gen IV

These are the newest (as of Sept 2018) pair of Volt heated slippers and there are a few features that differentiate them from the Gen III version that are down at #3 on this list.
The first new feature is the zipper along the side which goes from the sole all the way to the top opening. This is really nice as it makes them extremely easy to take off and put on.
There is also a nylon pull tab on the back of them which again makes them that much easier to put on and take off.
One of the most common complaints about the Gen III slippers was that they weren’t all that easy to take on and off so they’ve definitely solved this issue.
They come in both black and purple and they’re available in both Men’s and Women’s sizes.
The sole on these slippers is pretty significant which makes them extremely versatile hence the name Indoor/Outdoor.
Not only are these slippers good for indoors but they’re also great for camping, driving, airplanes, light walking and even sleeping.
They come equipped with two 3.7V batteries as well as a remote to control the heat.
With the remote you can change the heat between high medium and low and the high is very hot so you’ll be plenty warm in pretty much any conditions.
As for run time, here’s what you should expect to get.
High – 3 Hours
Medium – 5 Hours
Low – 7 Hours
These are very good times especially considering how small the batteries are. I’ve seen some pairs of heated slippers where the batteries are bulky and heavy and they don’t even last that long.
For battery life the Volt is the best in the industry.
They also come with a wall charger that will get them fully charged within 3 hours. All in all, these are my favorite heated slippers on the market right now.
If you’re looking for something a little more geared towards the indoors then you’ll probably like the #2 pair next on this list.
2. Volt Heat Smart Slipper

These ones are amazing. They still have a pretty good sole so if you wanted to use these for outdoor use you could but the appearance of them isn’t really something I would want to be seen wearing outside of the house.
Also the outer material is more of a soft suede like material and I don’t think it would fare too well in the elements.
But for indoors, these are awesome. So soft, so comfy and so warm but that’s not even the best part.
The best part of these slippers is the “Smart” heating system they use. This smart system knows exactly when your feet are getting colder or warmer and automatically adjusts the heat for you.
So no remote, no buttons, just self regulating warmth.
I was initially skeptical about this because I wasn’t sure if they system would give me the heat I wanted or needed but it definitely did.
These slippers really impressed me in every way.
They have the same batteries as the Indoor/Outdoor slippers so you can expect similar times for both heat and charging.
They come in brown, gray and navy as well as both Men’s and Women’s sizes.
You can’t go wrong with these.
3. Volt Heated Slippers Gen III

I’m really familiar with the Volt brand by this point as you’ve probably noticed. I’ve reviewed a lot of their heated gloves and they are very high quality as well.
These are unisex slippers and they come in all sizes as well as three color options. Grey, Black and Purple.
As you can see they have a decent sole on them which makes them quite good for the outdoors as well.
Much like the other Volt slippers these are heated by two lithium-ion batteries that need to be charged regularly.
Although charging them might seem rather annoying it’s kind of nice because they last up to 10 hours on one charge so that should get you through the day.
Since these ones are a little more robust I’d say that they would be not only good for home or the office but I’d probably bring them to the ski hill to wear right after a long day of skiing.
These would also be really good for driving in the winter because they have a good sole and my feet tend to get cold while driving.
Maybe they aren’t fluffy and fleecy like the ones ranked below on this list but the materials used makes them more versatile and they’re definitely right up there in terms of quality.
4. ValueRays

These are the Valuerays USB heated slippers. These are one of the top selling pairs of heated slippers and it’s no surprise because they work exactly as advertised and the price is right.
These slippers are fluffy and soft for maximum comfort but what’s really nice about them is that they have two settings of heat which produces a really nice, soft warmth.
The low setting is quite nice and probably all you’ll ever need but the high setting is a good way to start out in the morning until your feet are toasty warm.
After 10 minutes or so on the high setting I found the low setting to be perfect long term.
These are powered by a USB plug and they do need to be plugged in for the heat to work which is good and bad.
It’s good because they can go all day and you don’t have to worry about the battery running out but it’s bad because you’ll only get the heat if you’re near a computer or outlet.
If you want to get up from your desk or couch you don’t actually have to take the slippers off because they power cord unplugs from the slippers so you don’t have to worry about the cords flopping around if you need to get up and walk around.
I found that Amazon had the best price.
5. Manshoe USB Feet Warmer Boot

Where To Buy: Amazon
These are kind of a hybrid between a slipper, a boot and a shoe.
They have more of a proper sole on them which makes them good to wear outside if you so desire but I’d probably recommend to keep them as just an indoor shoe to prolong their life.
There are a few big drawbacks to these shoes but the reason they still made my list is because they are by far the warmest pair on the market.
They heat up really fast and they get extremely warm. There is no way you’ll have cold feet while wearing these.
They’re USB powered so they have to be plugged in to actually produce heat but much like the Valuerays they can be unplugged so that you can walk around without worrying about the cord.
The biggest drawback is that they only come in one size. They say that one size fits all but that is not true at all because I could barely squeeze my foot into them.
They’re 28cm in length and I’d say that they would fit anywhere between size 6-9 womens because they do have a lot of stretch and give much like other slippers.
The other drawback is that they don’t slip on and off like the other pairs so it takes a little more effort putting them on and taking them off.
Other than that, they’re a decent heated slipper.
6. ObboMed Slippers

Where To Buy: Amazon
They don’t have a stiff sole like the last ones so they’re much more comfortable although you can’t wear them outside because the sole is just synthetic fluff.
They come in all different sizes for men and women but they only come in the gray color.
They’re powered by a USB cord that can be unplugged to wear around the house.
These are actually a really good choice in terms of comfort. They just hug your feet and keep them extremely warm.
The quality if these ones seem really good and I would guess that they would stand the test of time which is good especially considering they’re a bit more expensive than the ValueRays.
Final Thoughts
So there you have it, these are the 6 best heated house slippers in my opinion.
I usually only review heated gloves but I’m genuinely interested in anything that can help keep people warm which is why I also like to showcase any gadget that can help with that.
In addition to heated gloves you can now by all kinds of heated clothing and gear to help you get through those long winter months.
