TOP 10 Best Heated Electric Gloves [For 2022] Reviewed

November 2, 2019 by 54 Comments

Heated Gloves

Here are the 10 Best Heated Electric Gloves for 2022. I've Reviewed them and this list is always up to date with the newest and best heated gloves.

As new gloves hit the market I buy them and test them right away to be sure that I'm current and not leaving out any gloves that deserve to be on this list.

If you're having a tough time deciding which gloves are right for you then you should take my Glove Selection Quiz. It's an 8 question quiz that will help you choose the right heated gloves for your needs.

Here at The Warmest Gloves we pride ourselves on being the authority in the heated gloves industry.

This entire website is dedicated to Heated Gloves.

It is our main focus and then once a year we publish a "Best Heated Gloves" article where we list and rank the top pairs available.

This is our "Best Heated Gloves" article for the 2021 - 2022 season. I'll get right to the list and then you can read more about each pair of gloves below.

Best Heated Electric Gloves

  1. Hestra Power Heater
  2. Volt Maxima
  3. Outdoor Research Lucent
  4. Zanier Heat.GTX
  5. Therm-ic Powerglove
  6. Lenz Heat 3.0
  7. Outdoor Research Capstone
  8. Volt Frostie
  9. Seirus Heattouch Hellfire
  10. Volt Tatra

So that's the list and let me be clear, these gloves are all very high end so you won't have to worry about any issues with quality or warranty.

I've seen a lot of the other "Best Of" lists out there and I'll be honest..........other websites seem to just put any random pair of heated gloves on their list without doing the proper research.

If you want cheap heated gloves; that's fine and you can find plenty of those on Amazon but you won't see any of those here on this list.

This list is the true best of the best.....no exceptions.

Since I chose the best available gloves for this list I had a really hard time ranking these in order from 1 - 10 because they're all great gloves.

Just keep in mind that the #10 gloves are damn near as good as the #1 gloves because each and every pair on this list is fantastic.

#1. Hestra Power Heater Gloves

Where To Buy: Amazon

Price: Click For Price

Company Base: Sweden

I've written a full review on these Hestra Heater gloves so you can get all the details there if you're a detail oriented shopper.

Basically they're just so comfortable and well made that I liked wearing them more than any other heated gloves.

I will admit that they aren't perfect. In fact they don't have all the "Bells and whistles" that some of the other gloves have but those things aren't as important when you're talking about such a well made, great fitting, high quality garment like this.

All you have to do is read up about the family that owns and operates Hestra.

They're the most experience glove makers in Europe and that really does show through in the quality.

So many glove manufacturers just outsource the work to China and when you're paying high prices for heated gloves you really want to know it's made with not only care but also with passion.

That's exactly what you get with these Hestra heated gloves or with any Hestra gloves.

First of all they just work well. The battery lasts long, the materials are durable and they keep your hands warm, dry and comfortable.

That right there should be enough but it goes beyond that.

These gloves are designed by real glove enthusiasts. People who were born into the glove business and who are extremely proud to be making the best gloves in the world.

When you speak to someone who is totally passionate about gloves they focus a lot of the shape and movement of the human hand.

Hestra makes their gloves with the shape and movement of the human hand at the forefront of their design.

I know this might sound obvious for a glove manufacturer but you'd be surprised how far down on the priorities list that is for most companies.

Anyways, if you want all the details and specs on these gloves, read my full review here.

#2. Volt Maxima

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

Company Base: USA

What I really love about Volt gloves is that they are one of the few gloves that heat both the front and the back of the hand. As well as all around the fingers and thumb.

This isn't very common for heated gloves and although most people find that it's not necessary to heat all around the hand, some people consider it a requirement.

If you're one of those people, you'll want to go for a pair of Volt gloves.

These Maxima gloves first caught my attention because of the nice look but once I tried them out I was really sold on them.

They're super durable and weather resistant. The fit is snug but not stiff at all.

They have all the bells and whistles but nothing gimmicky.

All in all, these are a super warm heated glove that is very high quality and excellent value.

#3. Outdoor Research Lucent

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

Company Base: USA

The Outdoor Research Lucent gloves are the only pair of gloves that made it on my top heated gloves list both last year and this year.

That says a lot about these gloves. Basically that means that even with all the new heated gloves that have come out over the course of the year, these ones still rate higher than most.

You can read my full detailed review of these gloves here.

As with most of the gear OR makes, these gloves were ahead of their time. They truly are a leader in the heated gloves industry.

These gloves just have everything you need in a pair of heated gloves and they just do everything well.

On top of all of that, they have a lifetime guarantee. You can't argue with that.

#4. Zanier Heat.GTX

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

Company Base: Austria

zanier heated gloves

Zanier heated gloves are fantastic. I've reviewed all of them so if you want all the details then you can get that right here.

They have three awesome pairs of gloves. The Heat.GTX the Aviator.GTX and the Hot.GTX.

All of these gloves are awesome and in terms of quality and heat, they're exactly the same so it's just the minor details that differentiate them.

The Aviators have gained some serious popularity lately because Anderson Cooper wore them while he hosted the New Years eve event in New York this year.

You can be sure that the quality is as good as it gets with these gloves.

Zanier is an Austrian company and if you know anything about Austrian engineering then you know that these will be top notch gloves.

#5. Therm-ic Powerglove

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

Company Base: France

Therm-ic is a French company that focuses on being extremely high end and I have to say they do a really good job of that.

These gloves pretty much check all the boxes. They're dexterous, comfy, warm, waterproof, windproof, breathable and reliable.

The heat kicks in really fast with these ones and once it's on there's just no possible way your hands will get cold.

For those of you who can't get enough warmth, these also come in a mitt version.

#6. Lenz Heat 3.0

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

Company Base: Austria

Here's another Austrian company making high end heated gloves. You've probably noticed the theme of European countries producing a lot of great heated gloves.

Sure there are a few American manufacturers on this list but it's hard to deny the overwhelming majority of European manufacturers here.

This doesn't surprise me too much.

Lenz is no stranger to the heated clothing industry. I've reviewed quite of few of their products over the years like their heated socks which I ranked #1 on my top heated socks list.

I've even written a full, detailed review of these gloves that you can find right here.

These are great gloves that are well worth the price.

#7. Outdoor Research Capstone

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

Company Base: USA

It's pretty impressive that Outdoor Research has two pairs of gloves on this top 10 list. If you know anything about me you'll know that I really love OR.

I love them because everything they make is of the highest quality and these gloves are no exception.

These gloves have a few key differences that landed them further down the list than the Lucents.

These gloves are made with a lot more protection on the knuckles and the back of the hand.

So if you're using these for something like snowmobiling or you're constantly skiing through the trees and you just want that extra protection these would be a good option.

The downside to that is that this extra protection makes them a little more bulky and stiff than the Lucent which is why these aren't ranked higher.

#8. Volt Frostie

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

Company Base: USA

Volt is another company that I've been rather obsessed with over the years. They strictly make heated gear so you know they're dialed into the industry.

They have a lot of great heated gloves in their lineup so you're probably wondering what made me put these ones on the list.

Firstly I like that these ones have a lot of leather. It makes them extremely flexible, comfortable, weather resistant and durable.

In addition to that these are just a really clean looking, low profile glove so I like the look of them.

As with all Volt gloves, these heat both the front and back of the hand as well as all fingers and thumbs.

The price is very reasonable too.

#9. Seirus Heattouch Hellfire

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

Company Base: USA

Seirus Gloves are all very good but these Hellfire gloves are their top model. The crazy thing about this list is that these could all be in the number 1 spot.

These Hellfire gloves are pretty much equally as good as the #1 gloves on this list so ranking these was very challenging.

If you want all the details about these gloves please have a look at my complete review here.

#10. Volt Tatra

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

Company Base: USA

volt rechargeable heated gloves

This is Volts second pair of gloves on this list but the amazing thing about these gloves is that they were on my top heated gloves list last year too.

These gloves are quite a bit cheaper than most of the other gloves on this list which makes them great value.

They do everything well and they have all the bells and whistles except leather which is probably one of the reasons they can keep the price point low.

Even after all this time these gloves can still compete with the best.

Final Thoughts

So there you have it. This is the ultimate list of the best heated electric gloves on the market today in 2019.

I hope you find a pair of gloves on this list that you love enough to buy.

I know that if you end up buying any of these gloves that you'll be happy with them and you'll be a heated electric gloves convert for the rest of your life.

They are amazing. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.

Cheers,

Robert

The Best Heated Clothing 2019 [Men & Women]

December 19, 2018 by 9 Comments

heated clothing

Heated Clothing

Heated clothing has come so far that now it's almost mainstream. Here are the best heated jackets, pants, gloves, hats, vests, socks and slippers.

  • Volt 7V Quilted Jacket
  • Ororo Soft Shell Heated Jacket
  • Lenz 1200 Heated Socks
  • Volt 3V Heated Socks
  • VentureHeat Base Layer Heated Pants
  • Volt Gen IV Heated Slippers
  • Volt Heat Smart Slipper
  • Lenz 3.0 Heated Gloves
  • Seirus Hellfire Heated Gloves
  • Savior Heated Hat
  • Volt Resistance Heated Fleece Vest

Now that heated clothing has become so popular you'll see that there are a lot of different companies making it and new ones hitting the market all the time.

This can make it tricky to figure out which ones are good and which ones are duds.

What you need to be aware of is the fact that there are a lot of pop-up companies trying to get a piece of the pie and instead of making a great quality product they're just manufacturing heated clothing as fast as they can for as cheap as they can because they know it's a relatively new fad and most consumers still don't know the difference.

I'm here to show you the good stuff. There are a handful of brands that make amazing stuff that works incredibly well.

If you buy something cheap that's made in China you'll probably regret it and in turn those cheap, crappy brands are giving heated clothing a bad name.

Best Heated Jackets

The world of heated jackets has come really far in the last 5 years. There are now heated jackets for all different types of scenarios.

There are men's and women's heated jackets, fleece jackets, down jackets, soft shells, hard shells, pull-over hoodies, zip up hoodies and a whole bunch of construction specific heated jackets.

I've actually written an entire article on just heated jackets which you can read right here if you're interested in seeing the top 10 heated jackets on the market.

For the purpose of this list I've chosen two heated jackets to highlight.

Volt Quilted Heated Jacket

Ororo Heated Soft Shell

Volt Quilted Heated Jacket - This is a high end jacket built the the quality that I've come to expect from Volt.

If you're not already familiar with the Volt name they're one of the leaders in the heated clothing industry.

Basically you can expect that if it's made by Volt, it's a great piece of clothing and this jacket is no exception.

It's quilted which makes it warm even without the heat turned on but once you turn on the heat it becomes like a little furnace surrounding your body.

This is without a doubt one of the best heated jackets money can buy.

Shop For This Jacket

Ororo Heated Soft Shell - This Ororo heated soft shell was actually my number one ranked heated jacket on my top 10 list this year. I also wrote a full detailed review of this jacket.

What I liked about this jacket (aside from the wicked heat it produces) is the versatility of it.

Because it's a soft shell it's actually pretty decent in rainy wet conditions and it blocks out the wind really well too.

It looks really good and fits really nice too so you can wear it just about anywhere. I own this jacket and I wear it all the time.

Best Heated Socks

Heated socks are one of my favorite inventions. I was one of the early customers of heated socks because I hate having cold toes and I do a lot of winter recreation so I jumped on the heated socks band wagon right from the word go.

I've tried them all, the cheapest of the cheap ones all the way to the high end expensive ones.

To see my full review and my list of the 8 top rated heated socks click here and you'll get all the details of the best heated socks on the market.

For this post, I've selected two pairs that I like best and I can promise you that these two pairs are great quality and they are guaranteed to keep your feet warm all winter long.

Lenz 1200 Heat Socks

Volt 3V Heated Socks

Lenz 1200 Heat Socks - These Lenz socks are fantastic. One of the greatest features of these socks is that they can be controlled with an app via bluetooth.

This makes it super convenient because if you're outside recreating you're usually all bundled up and so being able to change the settings without pulling up your pant leg is really helpful.

Then of course there's the heat. These socks heat up really hot. There are three settings and usually the lowest setting is plenty warm enough but if it's super cold outside you'll love the highest setting.

The batteries on these last quite a long time. If you keep them on the lowest setting they'll be able to produce a nice soothing heat for over 12 hours.

That time will decrease if you crank them up to high of course but it's still very impressive.

These might be a bit on the pricey side but they definitely won't disappoint.

Shop For These Socks

Volt 3V Heated Socks - Here's another great addition from Volt in the form of heated socks.

These socks are high quality and they produce a ton of heat which is really impressive especially considering the small size of the battery.

These socks are much more affordable than the Lenz socks but that doesn't mean they aren't as good.

Personally if I were in the market for a new pair of heated socks I would choose these Volt socks over the Lenz ones simply because they're cheaper but they're just as good.

That's my advice.

Shop For These Socks

Best Heated Pants

Heated pants aren't nearly as popular as heated jackets, socks or gloves.

For whatever reason there just aren't as many people interested in buying heated pants and for that reason the companies aren't making very many of them aside from the motorcycle specific ones.

With that being said there is one really good pair that I can recommend.

VentureHeat Base Layer Pants

VentureHeat is predominantly a motorcycle gear company but these pants aren't padded or designed for motorcycles specifically.

They're a base layer pant that is soft shell on the exterior and fleece lining on the inside so they're super comfy and cozy which makes them perfect for a base layer.

You can wear them on their own but they're designed more as a base layer.

There are three heating elements. One on each knee and one along the waistline in the back of the pants.

They warm up really well and they'll definitely help keep you warm on a chili day.

The quality is great and so is the comfort.

Shop For These Pants

Best Heated Slippers

Heated slippers are the greatest thing you never knew you wanted. But now you know so check these out.

I wrote an article where I listed the Top 6 Best Heated Slippers and you can find some really great pairs on that list but here I've narrowed it down to 2 pairs.

Volt Gen IV Slippers

Volt Smart Slippers

So Volt wins the heated slippers category by a landslide. My top 3 picks out of the list of six best pairs are all Volt.

It seems like they're just miles ahead of the competition in the heated slippers game and that's fine by me because I love Volt products if you haven't noticed.

With that being said, these two pairs are quite different.

Volt Gen IV Slippers - These are the newest version of the original Volt slippers that came out a few years ago.

These slippers are designed to be worn indoors and outdoors which means they have a pretty significant sole on them that has some decent grip and you could even wear these driving.

The exterior is a nylon material that will hold up to a little bit of moisture.

SO in comparison these slippers are more versatile that the smart slippers.

Shop For These Slippers

Volt Smart Slippers - As for the Smart Slippers these ones are made more for indoor use.

These are perfect for lounging on the couch or hanging around the house on a cold winter night.

They won't fare as well in wet conditions and the sole is softer and more flexible which makes them inferior for the outdoors but it also makes them much more comfy.

You could even sleep in these.

The "Smart" aspect of these is really cool too.

Basically these slippers are self regulating. The heat will sense the temperature and adjust the heat accordingly so you don't have to mess with controls or anything.

This had be a bit concerned at first but once I tried them I realized that the smart function worked amazingly well and I loved it.

Shop For These Slippers

Best Heated Gloves

Heated gloves are my specialty. I've been testing and reviewing heated gloves longer than anyone else on the internet.

I love heated gloves and I know the market like the back of my hand. There are a ton of great heated gloves on the market but there are also a lot of really bad ones so you have to watch out for the bad ones.

To get the best possible insight to what heated gloves are good you should read my Top 10 Heated Gloves list here.

It's tough to narrow it down to 2 pairs for this list which is why I highly recommend you read my top 10 list or take my Heated Gloves Quiz to see which pair suits you best.

Here's the two pairs I've selected for this list.

Seirus Hellfire Heated Gloves

Lenz 3.0 Heat Gloves

Seirus Hellfire Heated Gloves - These gloves are absolutely amazing. I love the leather that surrounds the entire exterior of the glove.

This makes for a comfortable, versatile and durable glove and they're also available in a mitten.

These gloves have all the bells and whistles like the gauntlet drawstring, the wrist cinch strap, three heat settings, waterproof membrane and an easy to use button for changing the settings.

These gloves rank at the top of their class in every category. Keep in mind that these are also very expensive gloves. But they're worth it if you can afford it.

Shop For These Gloves

Lenz 3.0 Heat Gloves - Here's Lenz making this list for the second time which probably isn't a surprise for any of you who have experience with any of their stuff.

Lenz makes high quality products that do exactly as advertised and these gloves are no exception.

Although there are a few other pairs of gloves on my radar that are just as good as these Lenz gloves I decided to put these on the list because they're not only well built but they're also reasonably priced. Click here for price.

I was really impressed with how durable these gloves are. You can be really hard on them and they'll just keep on going.

Handling the sharp edges of your skis, bindings and poles and these gloves still look like the day I bought them.

The heat they produce is better than average and the batteries last longer than most as well.

All in all these are a wonderful pair of heated gloves.

Shop For These Gloves

Best Heated Hat

Heated Hats are still new to the market. There just aren't very many of them at this time so I've only selected one that I think is good enough to be on this list.

You can definitely find quite a few different heated hats on Amazon for sale and probably for cheap but the truth is that most of them are crap.

Most of them will have a short battery life, make crappy heat and not be very comfortable

Fortunately I've found one that meets my standards for heated clothing.

Heated Hats

Savior Heated Hat

Savior Heated Hat - This is a really good heated hat and I was very happy when I first discovered it because I've been waiting for a good heated hat to hit the market.

Savior is a Chinese company but they're not just mass producing crap like some of the others you see on Amazon.

Savior is passionate about heated clothing and they make some really great heated gloves and socks too.

It's a one size fits all which might not be great if you have a really small head or a giant sized head but for most people this is a nice fitting hat.

The heated wraps around the perimeter of the hat covering your ears, forehead and the back of your head.

There's a button on the front which I think looks pretty stylish and it's super easy to use.

It comes with a charger and the battery lasts well over 6 hours if you keep it on the lowest setting.

I did write a full detailed review of this hat so if you want all the details just click right here.

Shop For This Hat

Best Heated Vests

Heated vests are very abundant on Amazon and elsewhere online so if you're looking for one I'm sure you're trying to figure out which one is best for you.

If that's the case then you've come to the right place because I've tested and reviewed a lot of them.

So many that I even wrote an article where I listed and ranked the Top 10 Best Heated Vests. Check it out if you want to see the list.

For the purpose of this list I've chosen one heated vest to highlight for you.

Volt Heat Fleece Vest

Volt Heat Fleece Vest - This vest is super comfy being that it's a nice soft fleece material which is why I chose to highlight it on this list.

It's thin but warm and also stylish so it can be worn as a base layer or on it's own.

The three heat settings provide plenty of heat options and the element placement is perfect.

There are heating elements on either side of the chest and one on the upper back which is exactly where I would put them if I had the choice.

The price is very reasonable too so it was a no brainer to add this vests to the list.

Shop For This Vest

Heated Clothing - Final Thoughts

So there you have it, these are the best heated clothing options on the market in my humble opinion.

This list is long but I've cut down each category to make it more manageable for you otherwise it could get even longer.

If you want more options for a specific category please don't be afraid to contact me and I'll happily send you some other options cause there are plenty.

Additionally if you have any questions or comments about any of the products on this list please contact me using the field below and I'll be sure to respond ASAP. I love hearing from my readers and I'm here to help.

Thanks very much for stopping by.

Cheers,

Robert

  2. Outdoor Research Lucent

  3. Hestra Power Heater Mitten

  4. Seirus Heat Touch Hellfire

  5. Zanier Hot.GTX

  6. Therm-ic Powerglove 1300 Mitten

  7. Chaval Supernova Mitt

  8. Volt Maxima

  9. Seirus Heat Touch Innovation

  10. Savior Heated Mitt

Heated Mittens

This is a great list of amazing heated mittens. I seriously struggled to figure out which mittens are the best and how to rank them.

In the end I decided that I couldn't pick the best one because they're all great so instead I'm calling it a three way tie between the Hestra, the Outdoor Research Lucent and the Lenz Heat 3.0.

Those three mitts are my top picks but the other 7 pairs on this list are seriously impressive too.

This speaks to how far the heated clothing industry has come. A few years ago I could really only find one or two decent pairs of heated gloves or mitts and now there are at least 10.

Not only are there 10 pairs of fabulous heated mittens but they're so good that I struggled to decide how to rank them.

In the end I had to decide which ones to rank on the top of the list and I have to admit that availability was a factor that helped my decision.

The top three gloves on the list are all readily available at a lot of online retailers and there is a plenty of them in stock so you can always get them quickly and in your size.

Other than that these are all wicked mitts that you will surely be happy with no matter which pair you choose.

I'll also add that all of these mittens either make both a men's and women's version or else they're unisex.

Lenz heated gloves are a really high end product that you can be sure you'll get a lot of years of life out of them. In most cases they'll last a lifetime if you treat them right.

The only thing that might need to be replaced every once in a while is the battery. Like any lithium-ion batteries they will start to wear out after a few years of heavy use.

Fortunately the batteries for this glove and for all gloves on this list are easy and cheap to replace.

I've reviewed all of the Lenz heated gloves and mitts and they're all amazing. You won't find a better quality glove on the market.

These are really comfortable mittens. They're made out of a combination of goat leather and nylon on the exterior and the interior is a soft polyester.

The gauntlet is a medium size and there is a drawstring on the end of the gauntlet as well as a cinch strap around the wrist.

This allows you to tighten the mitts exactly how you want them.

You will love these gloves.

I've reviewed the OR Lucent heated gloves already and they rated extremely high much like the mitts.

These mittens are identical to the gloves in every way except for the fact that these are mitts.

Yet another fantastic pair of mittens. I've been a big fan of Hestra for a long time. If you're not familiar with them they're a glove maker out of Sweden.

One thing that makes Hestra special is that they only make gloves and nothing else. They're very specialized and they are passionate about it.

You won't find better quality or comfort anywhere.

Seirus is right up there with the best of the best in all categories.

These particular mittens are a combination of leather and nylon but the exterior is mostly high end leather.

Zanier is an Austrian company that specializes in heated gloves and mittens so you know they're precise and well made.

These gloves heat up very quickly and hold their charge for a long time which is lovely when out on a long day in the cold.

They have all the right features and none of the unnecessary gimmicks that you'll see on some of the cheaper heated mittens.

Therm-IC is a French glove maker and they're relatively new to the heated gloves game but they shot out of the gate with these awesome Powergloves that have rated extremely well since day one.

These mittens immediately put Therm-IC on the map when it comes to heated clothing.

These mittens are very high end, made from quality products with excellent attention to detail.

Chaval USA is another specialized company that focuses on heated gloves and mittens.

They use a unique wire free technology that warms the gloves really effectively. They're super warm even in sub-zero temperatures.

The materials used for these gloves are all super high end and they're manufactured with a lot of care and attention.

These are fantastic mittens and I think that Chaval would be a much more well known brand if only they could be purchased on Amazon. Currently you can only buy these ones directly from the company website.

Volt is the industry leader in heated clothing. They were not only one of the first companies to make heated clothing but they were also one of the first ones to do it well.

These mittens are no exception. They're high quality but they don't have a huge price tag which makes them a very popular choice.

I've reviewed a lot of Volt products in the past and they all rate well. Here's my full review here.

Here's another pair from the Seirus Heat Touch lineup. These are pretty much the same as the Hellfire gloves except these ones have a few less features.

I still really love these mittens and I can't believe they're so low on this list but like I said before these are all great mittens.

Savior is the most budget friendly mittens on this list. They'll cost you a lot less than the other pairs but you won't feel like you're compromising.

These gloves are mostly leather on the exterior which makes them great for grip, water resistance and comfort.

The more you wear these the more comfortable they get as they mold to the shape of your hand.

Savior also makes a lineup of regular heated gloves too and they also score pretty well when tested.

Heated Mittens - Final Thoughts

All of these heated mittens are great options. I know that a lot of these are fairly expensive and it's probably tempting to find some really cheap ones on Amazon.

Trust me when I say that you will regret it. I've tested and reviewed a lot of heated mittens and gloves and the cheap ones come straight from China and they suck.

With the cheaper ones you'll find that the battery life is extremely short and they wear out really fast too.

If you stick to these top 10 best heated mittens you'll have an awesome pair of mittens that will keep your hands toasty warm for a long long time.

Top 6 Best Heated House Slippers For 2019 [Review]

January 5, 2018 by 1 Comment

I’ve researched and tested a whole bunch of heated slippers to come up with this list of the 5 best heated house slippers for a cold home office.

The Best Heated House Slippers

  • Volt Heat IV Gen Indoor/Outdoor
  • Volt Heat Smart Slipper
  • Volt Heat III Gen Indoor/Outdoor
  • ValueRays Slipper
  • Manshoe USB Foot Warmer Boot
  • ObboMed Slippers

Have you ever felt like your boss is too cheap to turn up the heat in the office and your toes might just freeze right off as a result? Or does everyone else in your house like it cold except you?

This has happened to me a lot and on those really cold winter days this can be really frustrating.

Fortunately somebody invented heated slippers to save the day. I’ve done some research and figured out where you can buy the very best heated house slippers that can also be worn at the office or even outside of the house in some cases.

First I want to say that when it comes to the makers of heated slippers, there are Volt heat slippers and then there are all the rest.

What I’m getting at is that Volt is way ahead of the game at this point. If you care about quality and comfort then you really should only be buying Volt Slippers.

They’re a top brand in the heated clothing industry and that couldn’t be more true when it comes to heated slippers which is why you shouldn’t be surprised to see that the top three pairs of slippers on this list are all Volt.

1. Volt Heated Slippers Gen IV

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

These are the newest (as of Sept 2018) pair of Volt heated slippers and there are a few features that differentiate them from the Gen III version that are down at #3 on this list.

The first new feature is the zipper along the side which goes from the sole all the way to the top opening. This is really nice as it makes them extremely easy to take off and put on.

There is also a nylon pull tab on the back of them which again makes them that much easier to put on and take off.

One of the most common complaints about the Gen III slippers was that they weren’t all that easy to take on and off so they’ve definitely solved this issue.

They come in both black and purple and they’re available in both Men’s and Women’s sizes.

The sole on these slippers is pretty significant which makes them extremely versatile hence the name Indoor/Outdoor.

Not only are these slippers good for indoors but they’re also great for camping, driving, airplanes, light walking and even sleeping.

They come equipped with two 3.7V batteries as well as a remote to control the heat.

With the remote you can change the heat between high medium and low and the high is very hot so you’ll be plenty warm in pretty much any conditions.

As for run time, here’s what you should expect to get.

High – 3 Hours

Medium – 5 Hours

Low – 7 Hours

These are very good times especially considering how small the batteries are. I’ve seen some pairs of heated slippers where the batteries are bulky and heavy and they don’t even last that long.

For battery life the Volt is the best in the industry.

They also come with a wall charger that will get them fully charged within 3 hours. All in all, these are my favorite heated slippers on the market right now.

If you’re looking for something a little more geared towards the indoors then you’ll probably like the #2 pair next on this list.

2. Volt Heat Smart Slipper

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

These ones are amazing. They still have a pretty good sole so if you wanted to use these for outdoor use you could but the appearance of them isn’t really something I would want to be seen wearing outside of the house.

Also the outer material is more of a soft suede like material and I don’t think it would fare too well in the elements.

But for indoors, these are awesome. So soft, so comfy and so warm but that’s not even the best part.

The best part of these slippers is the “Smart” heating system they use. This smart system knows exactly when your feet are getting colder or warmer and automatically adjusts the heat for you.

So no remote, no buttons, just self regulating warmth.

I was initially skeptical about this because I wasn’t sure if they system would give me the heat I wanted or needed but it definitely did.

These slippers really impressed me in every way.

They have the same batteries as the Indoor/Outdoor slippers so you can expect similar times for both heat and charging.

They come in brown, gray and navy as well as both Men’s and Women’s sizes.

You can’t go wrong with these.

3. Volt Heated Slippers Gen III

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

I’m really familiar with the Volt brand by this point as you’ve probably noticed. I’ve reviewed a lot of their heated gloves and they are very high quality as well.

These are unisex slippers and they come in all sizes as well as three color options. Grey, Black and Purple.

As you can see they have a decent sole on them which makes them quite good for the outdoors as well.

Much like the other Volt slippers these are heated by two lithium-ion batteries that need to be charged regularly.

Although charging them might seem rather annoying it’s kind of nice because they last up to 10 hours on one charge so that should get you through the day.

Since these ones are a little more robust I’d say that they would be not only good for home or the office but I’d probably bring them to the ski hill to wear right after a long day of skiing.

These would also be really good for driving in the winter because they have a good sole and my feet tend to get cold while driving.

Maybe they aren’t fluffy and fleecy like the ones ranked below on this list but the materials used makes them more versatile and they’re definitely right up there in terms of quality.

4. ValueRays

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

These are the Valuerays USB heated slippers. These are one of the top selling pairs of heated slippers and it’s no surprise because they work exactly as advertised and the price is right.

These slippers are fluffy and soft for maximum comfort but what’s really nice about them is that they have two settings of heat which produces a really nice, soft warmth.

The low setting is quite nice and probably all you’ll ever need but the high setting is a good way to start out in the morning until your feet are toasty warm.

After 10 minutes or so on the high setting I found the low setting to be perfect long term.

These are powered by a USB plug and they do need to be plugged in for the heat to work which is good and bad.

It’s good because they can go all day and you don’t have to worry about the battery running out but it’s bad because you’ll only get the heat if you’re near a computer or outlet.

If you want to get up from your desk or couch you don’t actually have to take the slippers off because they power cord unplugs from the slippers so you don’t have to worry about the cords flopping around if you need to get up and walk around.

I found that Amazon had the best price.

5. Manshoe USB Feet Warmer Boot

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

These are kind of a hybrid between a slipper, a boot and a shoe.

They have more of a proper sole on them which makes them good to wear outside if you so desire but I’d probably recommend to keep them as just an indoor shoe to prolong their life.

There are a few big drawbacks to these shoes but the reason they still made my list is because they are by far the warmest pair on the market.

They heat up really fast and they get extremely warm. There is no way you’ll have cold feet while wearing these.

They’re USB powered so they have to be plugged in to actually produce heat but much like the Valuerays they can be unplugged so that you can walk around without worrying about the cord.

The biggest drawback is that they only come in one size. They say that one size fits all but that is not true at all because I could barely squeeze my foot into them.

They’re 28cm in length and I’d say that they would fit anywhere between size 6-9 womens because they do have a lot of stretch and give much like other slippers.

The other drawback is that they don’t slip on and off like the other pairs so it takes a little more effort putting them on and taking them off.

Other than that, they’re a decent heated slipper.

6. ObboMed Slippers

Price: Click For Price

Where To Buy: Amazon

They don’t have a stiff sole like the last ones so they’re much more comfortable although you can’t wear them outside because the sole is just synthetic fluff.

They come in all different sizes for men and women but they only come in the gray color.

They’re powered by a USB cord that can be unplugged to wear around the house.

These are actually a really good choice in terms of comfort. They just hug your feet and keep them extremely warm.

The quality if these ones seem really good and I would guess that they would stand the test of time which is good especially considering they’re a bit more expensive than the ValueRays.

Final Thoughts

So there you have it, these are the 6 best heated house slippers in my opinion.

I usually only review heated gloves but I’m genuinely interested in anything that can help keep people warm which is why I also like to showcase any gadget that can help with that.

In addition to heated gloves you can now by all kinds of heated clothing and gear to help you get through those long winter months.

I’ve seen heated jackets, heated insoles, heated mattress covers, heated pants and of course heated blankets.

For an assortment of heated products you can click the link below which will show you all kinds of cool heated gadgets or check out my review of a heated mouse and keyboard.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions or comments please use the box below and I’ll be sure to get back to you ASAP.

Volt Resistance Heated Gloves Review – See How They Fare

February 3, 2017 by Leave a Comment

Volt Resistance Heated Gloves

Price: Click For Price

Score: 90/100

Where To Buy: Amazon

Category Score
Comfort 19/20
Warmth 16/20
Water Resistance 19/20
Quality 20/20
Battery 16/20
Overall Score 90/100

Volt Resistance Heated Gloves Overview

This isn’t the first pair of Volt gloves I’ve reviewed. I’ve also tried out the Tatra and the heated Work Gloves and they were both great gloves so I have pretty high expectations for the Volt Resistance heated gloves.

The Volt brand (also known as VoltHeat) is a niche company that specializes in heated clothing.

They have a large lineup of different garments including heated pants, jackets, vests, scarves, footwear and hats. I’ve tried the heated slippers but I haven’t tried any of the other garments outside of the gloves.

What I know about the Volt brand is that they make high quality products at a reasonable price.

I’d say that Volt is right up there with the top heated glove brands like Gerbing, Outdoor Research, Venture and Hestra but out of these 5 brands I would rank Volt #5.

That’s not to say that Volt isn’t great. They’re a high end brand and just to be in the same company as those other 4 brands is a huge compliment in my mind.

One thing I would say is that out of those 5 brands Volt is one of the cheaper options which has helped them become more popular.

The Resistance gloves are pretty much exactly what I expected out of Volt which is a good thing.

These gloves are warm, reliable, waterproof and high quality so you can rest assured that your money would be well spent on a pair of these.

Comfort & Warmth

The first thing I noticed when I put them on is that they have great dexterity, far better than I was expecting.

Since they’re heated they can get away with using less insulation which helps improve dexterity and mobility which are two huge factors in comfort when it comes to gloves.

I had no problems operating zippers, buttons or even small electronics. By looking at the picture you probably can’t tell that they’re low profile but in real life they look sleek which is nice.

The interior is made of a soft tricot lining which pretty much just feels like fleece. It’s a really nice material and it’s very comfy.

The exterior is made of nylon with a leather palm. The leather palm is really nice for comfort and helps a lot with grip too.

As for warmth I’d say that these were better than average for heated gloves but not the best I’ve tried.

The lowest setting isn’t too good to be honest. It’s not even very noticeable especially if it’s really cold outside.

The middle setting is quite a bit better and that’s actually what I used the most because the high heat is quite warm and not really necessary in my opinion unless is sub zero.

If the heat isn’t turned on the gloves are’t all that warm. They don’t have too much insulation so they lose heat quite quickly but that’s not a big deal since they are heated gloves after all.

For comfort I’m giving these gloves a 19/20 and for warmth I’m giving them a 16/20.

Water Resistance

These gloves are definitely water resistant but they aren’t 100% waterproof.

What I mean by that is they fair really well in wet snow conditions and they even do well in the rain but after longer periods of time in those conditions they leather palm will start to absorb water.

This isn’t that big of a deal and it has to be very wet for this to happen but when it happens they start to feel heavy and soggy which can get slightly annoying.

This is actually very common with ski/winter gloves. A lot of gloves use leather on the palm because it’s durable, comfortable and good for gripping things but there’s no way around this water issue.

By no means is this a huge problem but if you plan on constantly being is wet conditions you’d probably be better off with a pair of gloves that is 100% nylon or gore text like the Venture Epic 2.0.

Aside from that they did really well so I’m giving them a 19/20 in this category.

Quality

I couldn’t find any reason to dock them points in the quality category. Much like any of the other Volt products I’ve tried these gloves are made with quality in mind.

The stitching is tight and strong, the palms are double lined for durability, the zipper is tough and the cuff strap is strong.

You won’t have any issues with these holding up to any recreational activities but if you plan on doing heavy duty work using power tools or equipment you might want to look into the Volt Work gloves instead because the Resistance gloves are only made for recreation.

For this category I’m giving them a 20/20.

Battery

The battery is always a touchy subject because there are some people out there who thing these things should be able to run for 12 hours straight and that’s just not possible with the technology available to us right now unless they start using 5 pound batteries which nobody would be happy about.

They have to try to find a balance between battery size/weight and life.

I think they did an okay job with these gloves. They come with two 7V rechargeable lithium ion batteries and a charger that can charge them both at the same time.

Volt claims that they will get between 2 – 8 hours of heating time.

What this translates to is they’ll get 2 hours if you keep them on the high setting and they’ll get 8 hours if you keep them on the low setting.

In reality I think most people would switch between the three settings and sometimes have them off completely as the temperature fluctuates.

My personal results were a little different than theirs.

I was able to get 2.5 hours on the highest setting which I was happy about but I didn’t fair so well on the lowest setting as they only lasted 6 hours rather than the advertised 8.

On the day where I wore them skiing I was constantly changing between all three settings and periodically turning them off completely as I warmed up and that day they lasted 5 hours.

This left me with a dead battery with about an hour left of skiing. Not ideal but not terrible either.

I’m giving them a 16/20 in this category.

Fit

These gloves definitely fit small. I usually wear a large but I had to get the XL in these.

If you’re not sure what size you should order you can have a look at our sizing guide.

Final Thoughts

In the end I was happy with these gloves.

I’m glad that Volt is able to make a glove that can compete with the expensive, high end brands for a lower price.

The Volt Resistance heated gloves would make a great intro glove for anyone who hasn’t tried heated gloves before.

I don’t say that because they’re “Beginner” gloves but instead I say that because they’re cheaper than some of the really high end gloves like Hestra or Outdoor Research.

The fact of the matter is that they are great for a lot of different activities which is great. Most people need a glove that is versatile because our activities are always different and the climate is always changing.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about these gloves or any other gloves I’ve reviewed. You can use the field below to contact me and I’ll be sure to respond ASAP.

Cheers,

Robert
