Heated clothing has come so far that now it's almost mainstream. Here are the best heated jackets, pants, gloves, hats, vests, socks and slippers.
- Volt 7V Quilted Jacket
- Ororo Soft Shell Heated Jacket
- Lenz 1200 Heated Socks
- Volt 3V Heated Socks
- VentureHeat Base Layer Heated Pants
- Volt Gen IV Heated Slippers
- Volt Heat Smart Slipper
- Lenz 3.0 Heated Gloves
- Seirus Hellfire Heated Gloves
- Savior Heated Hat
- Volt Resistance Heated Fleece Vest
Now that heated clothing has become so popular you'll see that there are a lot of different companies making it and new ones hitting the market all the time.
This can make it tricky to figure out which ones are good and which ones are duds.
What you need to be aware of is the fact that there are a lot of pop-up companies trying to get a piece of the pie and instead of making a great quality product they're just manufacturing heated clothing as fast as they can for as cheap as they can because they know it's a relatively new fad and most consumers still don't know the difference.
I'm here to show you the good stuff. There are a handful of brands that make amazing stuff that works incredibly well.
If you buy something cheap that's made in China you'll probably regret it and in turn those cheap, crappy brands are giving heated clothing a bad name.
Best Heated Jackets
The world of heated jackets has come really far in the last 5 years. There are now heated jackets for all different types of scenarios.
There are men's and women's heated jackets, fleece jackets, down jackets, soft shells, hard shells, pull-over hoodies, zip up hoodies and a whole bunch of construction specific heated jackets.
For the purpose of this list I've chosen two heated jackets to highlight.
Volt Quilted Heated Jacket
Ororo Heated Soft Shell
Volt Quilted Heated Jacket - This is a high end jacket built the the quality that I've come to expect from Volt.
If you're not already familiar with the Volt name they're one of the leaders in the heated clothing industry.
Basically you can expect that if it's made by Volt, it's a great piece of clothing and this jacket is no exception.
It's quilted which makes it warm even without the heat turned on but once you turn on the heat it becomes like a little furnace surrounding your body.
This is without a doubt one of the best heated jackets money can buy.
What I liked about this jacket (aside from the wicked heat it produces) is the versatility of it.
Because it's a soft shell it's actually pretty decent in rainy wet conditions and it blocks out the wind really well too.
It looks really good and fits really nice too so you can wear it just about anywhere. I own this jacket and I wear it all the time.
Best Heated Socks
Heated socks are one of my favorite inventions. I was one of the early customers of heated socks because I hate having cold toes and I do a lot of winter recreation so I jumped on the heated socks band wagon right from the word go.
I've tried them all, the cheapest of the cheap ones all the way to the high end expensive ones.
To see my full review and my list of the 8 top rated heated socks click here and you'll get all the details of the best heated socks on the market.
For this post, I've selected two pairs that I like best and I can promise you that these two pairs are great quality and they are guaranteed to keep your feet warm all winter long.
Lenz 1200 Heat Socks
Volt 3V Heated Socks
Lenz 1200 Heat Socks - These Lenz socks are fantastic. One of the greatest features of these socks is that they can be controlled with an app via bluetooth.
This makes it super convenient because if you're outside recreating you're usually all bundled up and so being able to change the settings without pulling up your pant leg is really helpful.
Then of course there's the heat. These socks heat up really hot. There are three settings and usually the lowest setting is plenty warm enough but if it's super cold outside you'll love the highest setting.
The batteries on these last quite a long time. If you keep them on the lowest setting they'll be able to produce a nice soothing heat for over 12 hours.
That time will decrease if you crank them up to high of course but it's still very impressive.
These might be a bit on the pricey side but they definitely won't disappoint.
Volt 3V Heated Socks - Here's another great addition from Volt in the form of heated socks.
These socks are high quality and they produce a ton of heat which is really impressive especially considering the small size of the battery.
These socks are much more affordable than the Lenz socks but that doesn't mean they aren't as good.
Personally if I were in the market for a new pair of heated socks I would choose these Volt socks over the Lenz ones simply because they're cheaper but they're just as good.
That's my advice.
Best Heated Pants
Heated pants aren't nearly as popular as heated jackets, socks or gloves.
For whatever reason there just aren't as many people interested in buying heated pants and for that reason the companies aren't making very many of them aside from the motorcycle specific ones.
With that being said there is one really good pair that I can recommend.
VentureHeat Base Layer Pants
VentureHeat is predominantly a motorcycle gear company but these pants aren't padded or designed for motorcycles specifically.
They're a base layer pant that is soft shell on the exterior and fleece lining on the inside so they're super comfy and cozy which makes them perfect for a base layer.
You can wear them on their own but they're designed more as a base layer.
There are three heating elements. One on each knee and one along the waistline in the back of the pants.
They warm up really well and they'll definitely help keep you warm on a chili day.
The quality is great and so is the comfort.
Best Heated Slippers
Heated slippers are the greatest thing you never knew you wanted. But now you know so check these out.
I wrote an article where I listed the Top 6 Best Heated Slippers and you can find some really great pairs on that list but here I've narrowed it down to 2 pairs.
Volt Gen IV Slippers
Volt Smart Slippers
So Volt wins the heated slippers category by a landslide. My top 3 picks out of the list of six best pairs are all Volt.
It seems like they're just miles ahead of the competition in the heated slippers game and that's fine by me because I love Volt products if you haven't noticed.
With that being said, these two pairs are quite different.
Volt Gen IV Slippers - These are the newest version of the original Volt slippers that came out a few years ago.
These slippers are designed to be worn indoors and outdoors which means they have a pretty significant sole on them that has some decent grip and you could even wear these driving.
The exterior is a nylon material that will hold up to a little bit of moisture.
SO in comparison these slippers are more versatile that the smart slippers.
Volt Smart Slippers - As for the Smart Slippers these ones are made more for indoor use.
These are perfect for lounging on the couch or hanging around the house on a cold winter night.
They won't fare as well in wet conditions and the sole is softer and more flexible which makes them inferior for the outdoors but it also makes them much more comfy.
You could even sleep in these.
The "Smart" aspect of these is really cool too.
Basically these slippers are self regulating. The heat will sense the temperature and adjust the heat accordingly so you don't have to mess with controls or anything.
This had be a bit concerned at first but once I tried them I realized that the smart function worked amazingly well and I loved it.
Best Heated Gloves
Heated gloves are my specialty. I've been testing and reviewing heated gloves longer than anyone else on the internet.
I love heated gloves and I know the market like the back of my hand. There are a ton of great heated gloves on the market but there are also a lot of really bad ones so you have to watch out for the bad ones.
To get the best possible insight to what heated gloves are good you should read my Top 10 Heated Gloves list here.
It's tough to narrow it down to 2 pairs for this list which is why I highly recommend you read my top 10 list or take my Heated Gloves Quiz to see which pair suits you best.
Here's the two pairs I've selected for this list.
Seirus Hellfire Heated Gloves
Lenz 3.0 Heat Gloves
Seirus Hellfire Heated Gloves - These gloves are absolutely amazing. I love the leather that surrounds the entire exterior of the glove.
This makes for a comfortable, versatile and durable glove and they're also available in a mitten.
These gloves have all the bells and whistles like the gauntlet drawstring, the wrist cinch strap, three heat settings, waterproof membrane and an easy to use button for changing the settings.
These gloves rank at the top of their class in every category. Keep in mind that these are also very expensive gloves. But they're worth it if you can afford it.
Lenz 3.0 Heat Gloves - Here's Lenz making this list for the second time which probably isn't a surprise for any of you who have experience with any of their stuff.
Lenz makes high quality products that do exactly as advertised and these gloves are no exception.
Although there are a few other pairs of gloves on my radar that are just as good as these Lenz gloves I decided to put these on the list because they're not only well built but they're also reasonably priced. Click here for price.
I was really impressed with how durable these gloves are. You can be really hard on them and they'll just keep on going.
Handling the sharp edges of your skis, bindings and poles and these gloves still look like the day I bought them.
The heat they produce is better than average and the batteries last longer than most as well.
All in all these are a wonderful pair of heated gloves.
Best Heated Hat
Heated Hats are still new to the market. There just aren't very many of them at this time so I've only selected one that I think is good enough to be on this list.
You can definitely find quite a few different heated hats on Amazon for sale and probably for cheap but the truth is that most of them are crap.
Most of them will have a short battery life, make crappy heat and not be very comfortable
Fortunately I've found one that meets my standards for heated clothing.
Savior Heated Hat
Savior Heated Hat - This is a really good heated hat and I was very happy when I first discovered it because I've been waiting for a good heated hat to hit the market.
Savior is a Chinese company but they're not just mass producing crap like some of the others you see on Amazon.
Savior is passionate about heated clothing and they make some really great heated gloves and socks too.
It's a one size fits all which might not be great if you have a really small head or a giant sized head but for most people this is a nice fitting hat.
The heated wraps around the perimeter of the hat covering your ears, forehead and the back of your head.
There's a button on the front which I think looks pretty stylish and it's super easy to use.
It comes with a charger and the battery lasts well over 6 hours if you keep it on the lowest setting.
I did write a full detailed review of this hat so if you want all the details just click right here.
Best Heated Vests
Heated vests are very abundant on Amazon and elsewhere online so if you're looking for one I'm sure you're trying to figure out which one is best for you.
If that's the case then you've come to the right place because I've tested and reviewed a lot of them.
So many that I even wrote an article where I listed and ranked the Top 10 Best Heated Vests. Check it out if you want to see the list.
For the purpose of this list I've chosen one heated vest to highlight for you.
Volt Heat Fleece Vest
Volt Heat Fleece Vest - This vest is super comfy being that it's a nice soft fleece material which is why I chose to highlight it on this list.
It's thin but warm and also stylish so it can be worn as a base layer or on it's own.
The three heat settings provide plenty of heat options and the element placement is perfect.
There are heating elements on either side of the chest and one on the upper back which is exactly where I would put them if I had the choice.
The price is very reasonable too so it was a no brainer to add this vests to the list.
Heated Clothing - Final Thoughts
So there you have it, these are the best heated clothing options on the market in my humble opinion.
